How exactly are women being blocked from running for elected office?

Question by Stan: How exactly are women being blocked from running for elected office?

Feminists complain about that there aren't 50% women represented in elected office but 50% of the candidates aren't women.

Do women have the same opportunity to run as men? Are women choosing to run less often than men or are they being blocked?

If they are being blocked, who is blocking them and how?

There's no one blocking them. It's part of the delusion of modern Feminism. Free market/democratic principles would ensure that so long as there is universal suffrage, the most higly sought candidates would be nominated and have access to public office. The representatives we have in the West are the product of what a Democratic society wants (this society doesn't keep women from voting or ruinning for office).

Modern Feminists will find silly things based on nothing substantive in order to advance this notion that there's mass oppression. It's boring and silly. It's a silly doctrine and must be marginalized by ANY means necessary to save society.
