What straightener works best for really really really thick hair?

I have really really thick hair. I use a Jilbere Paris 1inch straightener that works okay. When i got to the salon, the lady blow drys it out, thins it, and straightens it and it is so pretty. I want it to be like that all the time. So which straightener would work the best? I have also considered getting t chemically straightened, but i don't know.

.get a CHI
thats what i use.. but i have thin hair.
but my sister in law has super thick hair and her hair looks great after using her CHI
